What is the best degree if I am interested in working with the dying and their grieving families?
I would like to work with those at the end of their lives. I have some experience (personal as well as volunteering with Hospice) and I am unsure of where to go from here. I recently started graduate school but I fear I am not in the right program to achieve my goals. I have considered everything from becoming an RN to MSW. Should I focus on Palliative Social Work? And if so where are those programs offered in the U.S.? Ideally I would be able to make a living doing similar work that I did with Hospice with more education so I could properly assist the dying and their grieving family through their transition. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
