What are the best things to do with a MSW degree?

I am going to a community school first for two years in the fall and majoring in Human Services. Then I am transferring to a four year school and getting my BSW and MSW. I am in New York, and I have heard people say good pay rates for social workers in my state. I am mainly looking to work in a school.. probably high school.. or even a college once I get my masters. I am not positive if I want to go for my Ph.D and work as a professor yet. But what are some pros and cons about my ideas? Any feedback is great :)
