Is it even worth going into debt to be a psychologist PLEASE HELP!?

First, my friend has a PhD in Clinical Psych and she did not get a MSW it is in a totally different field and course of study so maybe talk to a academic adviser at your school. If you are having doubts about your career choice you might want to figure out what you want to do before you invest in a Phd in it. That is what is going to cost you. If you want to be a Clinical Psychologist than it is worth the time and money you will put into it. The government does not expect you to pay a ton of money to pay back your student loan, it is very reasonable. I only pay $127 per month. Once you get a job you will be able to pay back your loan and it wont be a burden, you don't have to start paying until you get a job.
