Is it possible to find a job in a NGO or Non-Profit-Organization without a MSW or any other major degree?

I have been working for the Visual Effects Industry for many years ,now i want to work full time for a ngo in their grass root functions , I am not qualified in any specific way to join a ngo or a non-profit-organisation and also i want to find an organization which really functions and not a one which just goes under a tag. So is it possible to find any sort of a job in a ngo and how do i start looking?
